The owner of Yanko Jewelers approached me about a couple of months ago looking for a new design for his well-established store, which is located in the South West area of Miami. After visiting the place, I found nothing wrong with the actual layout, so I paid close attention to what he exactly needed. The store was functioning perfectly, but, he wanted to improve its look, modernize it, and make it totally anew. He’s last words on that first meeting were, “…be free…, I want something stunning and different…”
For a designer, these are kind of magic words, “…be free…” so, later that week, I ran into him with my first design concept inspired by the jewelry’s logo.
Said logo was defined by a capital “Y” crowned by a diamond.
